Are you, the playable character, an older version of Greta (the little girl?) - i noticed they shared the name and the one achievement says "face your past"

This is the adult version of Greta. And when you get the first ending in the apartment there is a photo of Greta and probably her brother Hans as adult (or her son).

Seconded. There are other clues, since as the way she flips between little girl and her adult self in the bathroom.
