What's your routine? How much time do you spend checking?

I get scared easily and my routine is going up the stairs and then run to the door while trying not to cry!

Sometimes I can tell immediately if it's haunted or not but sometimes I must have missed something. (I mostly check the mannequins and the painting while walking upstairs and then back)

How do you guys check the cabins? Thanks in advance!

I've played the game to death and wrote a complete walkthrough[www.gamespew.com] - - but unless I see the guy walk round the back of the cabin it's usually - check bed, check nook by table, then go upstairs.

Then, on the way down, it's check round the right corner beam before I exit.

I already beat the game with all achievements yesterday but didn't delete the post because someone might ask the same question.
