when i bought this i thought it would fill the whole screen. is it supposed to or just be a box on the screen. i am playing it on a pc did i get wrong download?

it's always been a box for me, but I never tried to maximize the window.

you can play it full screen but it messes up your display. better to just keep it small and suffer :/

Ive also tried to adjust the res. manually via the config file in the game directory. Changes wont apply and after you restarted the game it will just reset the changes made prior. Im playing on 3440x1440 so they are like ovals for me...

Perhaps you have to use "big picture" mode to get it in full screen. Mine plays in a box on steam with my mac, but I have the actual game CD for my windows computer and that is full screen. There's a section in the options menu that says "windowed mode" and you can pick screen size... I think the CD version has a full screen option that is missing from the steam version.

I play it 24/7 on Full Screen and nothing's wrong, the quality is great and so is the resolution, maybe it depends on different OS'

The resolution preserves the aspect ratio. the minimum is 720p. You can possibly adjust in profile.cfg (iirc) to your actual resolution to stretch it
