Account not logging in properly on second device

I managed to get the game (seemingly) working on Steamdeck, but for whatever reason when I try to login to the account I'm using on my PC it keeps starting as a new account with the tutorial. I tried binding my account additionally in-game but it doesn't seem like there's an option to login using that on the start screen. Any ideas?

maybe a stupid question but are you sure the client you installed is from the same publisher of the one you installed on PC?

I got it from the Lutris app which connected to the English Sunborn game launcher so I'm 99% sure it's the same publisher.

This isn't a question of trust. Check the starting loading screen whether it shows Sunborn or Haoplay on both devices. Because this forum is for haoplay users, you are definitely in fishy waters. Once that's clear, you need to log out from the starting screen, and login using the email. The story you told is somewhat messy so it's difficult so understand what's happening here.

I actually found that out today that's there are two different version on PC.

I think the problem here is - assuming you went with the "E-Mail" option when you registered - that only a temporary account is made, probably for account rerolls. Best is, you log into the account you made and link it with your google account in the settings. Then from PC, log in using that google account.

I actually didn't know that there was two different PC versions. I was wondering why my account I had on my iPhone wasn't carrying over so that's why. Do we know what publisher the eventual Steam version will use or will it not have cross save?

There's both publishers here on steam, if you notice searching the title from the community page will pull up two results. The game's store page should show you the right one for you depending on your region. It's pretty safe to say you'll be able to use your current account by logging in the steam version with the same email, assuming you started playing with the right publisher.
