possible malware?
When I tried to install this game I got an antivirus alert for a zf_cef.dll threat. I guess it's a false positive, but just in case, does anyone know anything?

I'm not sure if it was on the beta or launch, but I remember there was a file that was getting flagged as a trojan. I did just delete it and the game was fine, but it probably got redownloaded during an update and now is fine because more people are using it.
I compared the zf_cell.dll from Steam and dedicated versions and they're the same. Also passed it through virustotal and is clean, so I guess it's fine.

nah its a false positive. happened when humankind and Getting Over It its your antivirus as avast and mcafee have the same thing but windows defender doesn't. make it an excluded file and it will be fine.

just to reiterate this not malware this a false positive that some anti virus's declare a threat when its not.

What antivirus flagged it? The alert should include the path to the file. Follow it, then drop it into VirusTotal. https://www.virustotal.com/gui/home/upload

zf_cef.dll is part of zf browser (which is based on CEF aka chromium) which is an unity plugin to have browser integration to render websites (used for news for example) in game.
