GIRLS' FRONTLINE 2: EXILIUM

GIRLS' FRONTLINE 2: EXILIUM

Nothing to do after 3 months
So there is nothing to do after 3 months. Only thing that remains is doing dailies 10 minutes every day, which is about 3 whole days a year. Any progression in the game is locked behind dailies and gacha. Even winning at gacha does not feel satysfying. I get kicks from outsmarting the game, comming up with broken builds or from creativity. This game is pure fan service and can play itself on level 60. Last event with a doll called Danyian-something was not even voiceacted.
.
I cannot keep myself playing when I have steam link. For turnbased game I got aow4 for fanservice I got honey select. Hell, in this game, there is no difficulty in the late game. There is no strategy. You simply use Suomi dupe 1, Lotta, and fill the rest of team with SSR characters.
.
This game is XCOM robbed of its soul. No strategic planning and resource management, maps are smaller and do not require you to think. After initial novelty wears off, there is no reason to continue. There are no level 70 enemies to fight. There is no way to cheese the game and feel smug.
.
I do not dislike this game, it simply feels bland. Like eating oatmeal on breakfeast. That is what this game feels like. After a while, you start questioning the reason why you live on this planet in particular? Why you? What is the meaning of life? Is there a god? How vast is the universe? How many shapes, sizes and colors girls feet can have? There is no answer to these questions.
.
I got very lucky in gacha, pulled what I wanted quickly and I do not care. It does not move me. It was fun for three months. If you want to try this game people, only play main story, then drop the game. The first month was very fun.

The official launchers outside Steam aren't from pirate websites.
gacha games are like that often, you get used to it, and you enjoy it, I have not lost any enjoyment myself
then dont play the game let others do so if they enjoy it i never understand what the point of threads like these

You're aware that this is a mobile gacha game, right? Which most of them have finite unique content and infinite daily repetitive content? We're actually quite blessed compared to a couple years ago, when story in gacha games used to be complete garbage most of the times. If you dislike this format, I suggest you play either a single player campaign game, which has a longer unique content or a mmorpg, which is literally the more you play the stronger you get.

Yeah, that is probably it. I really get into one game for a short period of time. I do not enjoy consuming content constantantly in small doses. What I love is the hype, novelty... I really enjoyed GFL 2 for the first two months though.
.
It was fun early game. Then come frustrations from repeating dailies, from playing sloppy maps made of blue/black block, from seeing the same characters over and over again, from not having dorm options like room designer or redressing dolls (500 Kč for an outfit is a joke, I bought a few though), from devs probably never adding covenant option to your favourite dolls... Just burnout.
.
When you got nothing else to play, gacha is tempting. It is hard to understand this feeling, unless you are a gamer who went without really playing anything for months or even years. Now I got options though. It was fun for a while. It is probably a good gacha. Just not for me. Also, I liked GFL 1 a little better.

I feel like OP and did the same as him 3 levels before hitting max. It's not the worst game but everyone who keeps saying how good this was is beyond help. It's almost a copy paste of every other money printing machine out there, using the same mental manipulation, the same time gating mechanics, and the only difference between GFL2 and [insert random dead within a year mobile game here] is the IP slapped as a skin onto it.

Sometimes you just need to vent because the disappointment is too great to remain silent in the face of what could have been a promising game from where it came, had they only put their soul into it again. Which they did not.

At the same time you would have to question what the point of ANY thread stating an opinion is. The positive ones don't add anything of value for you either, they only exist because someone could not contain their excitement only for themselves and wanted to share. It's basically the same principle.

If you take both of these types of topics out of the forums you'd basically only have "xyz is not working send help" remain.

I bought none. Reason was they ask 20$ for an outfit fine... but then they are too lazy to make new interactions in the fitting room for it. What am I paying 20 bucks for if they don't put any work in and only change the textures?

Is this game even worth playing? I played the original game on mobile long ago but i quit the gacha stuff because of it being predatory and stressful (Not the original game but gacha as a whole)

So i want to know if it's worth picking up, even if for me, it's a hard pill to swallow the fact that we don't have any free resources anymore, just paid ones, and also paid gacha which wasn't present in the original game save for the costume gacha
