It's super weird with the cross progression. One of my friends signed up on mobile and we could literally not add each other ingame, not on haoplay and not on sunborn. His user ID had been given to another person in both cases and it was the same for him with my user ID.

strange for me it worked without a problem using my pre registered e-mail. im on the haoplay version.

Could be. Because when I signed up I did not see any servers to pick from. And he signed up a few days later I believe. I just downloaded the launcher from their website and it started right away. Tho he quit the game now so it's not an issue anymore.

So how does this work? Do I just download and it picks up progress I made in sunborn or haoplay? because all my progress is in sunborn. Someone should make a guide on this if they know how it works

Crossplay unfortunately only works on whatever account you started on. So if you're playing Darkwinter in Haoplay region you might have to start a new account. Steam version is region locked to the two.

The Sunborn version is what is called Darkwinter server. If you are seeing this discussion page from your Steam account, that means you're in a Haoplay server region (there's actually 2 GFL2 store pages, which you only are able to access the one assigned for your region). Thus, no, there is no way for you to play GFL2 Darkwinter in Steam as far I know. You could keep playing through the dedicated program no problem though.

And about same IDs on Haoplay, remember that Haoplay server has 3 sub-servers, Asia, Japan, Korea and Global, and I believe they are not shared or something.
