So whats the difference?

Now that both versions are out, what is the differences? Mostly interested in pricing and rewards

Did not notice any differences, both games seem identical. You also get the same rewards from the pre registration, facebook, x-thing. As well as some ingame mail containing stamina items for a few days and a celebration mail with additonal gacha ticket gifts.

Both versions got the same banners and in both versions the 50 pulls for elite doll beginner banner is discounted to 8 tickets. You can complete it about the time you finished chapter 1, so everyone basically gets a free elite doll. Plus you get a second elite doll called Vepley from doing tasks.

Can't say anything about pricing since I haven't tried to buy anything yet.

Actually I did notice one tiny difference I forgot about: Haoplay version makes you checkbox that they protect your data. It's a mandatory EU thing. Sunborn does not have it.

Uh I found a sneaky and very important difference between the two:
Haoplay chance for elite doll any banner: 1,89%
Sunborn chance for elite doll: 2,31%

Basically Haoplay reduces the already small chance for an additional 0.42%
Only noticable if you press on details in both games. That's kinda rude.
False Alarm, was only on the beginner banner. Sadly the lower rate for all other banners is standard in both versions.

Anyway from what I understand from reading online the differences between the two servers are: the 2 days delay on everything that Haoplay has, the different rate ups and the age issue right? I started Haoplay today but I'm thinking of switching to darkwinter to avoid possible future age-related censorship. Mostly I am more concerned about the fact that haoplay is not run by the game developers, what do you guys think?

And how do I even switch to Darkwinter client? Do I need VPN all the time or only when downloading the client?

Neither. You will need a VPN only to click on the download button on the Sunborn website. But if you input the direct download link into your browser you don't even have to use any VPN. The game client never checks where you are accessing it from, neither at installation nor while running the app.

In another discussion here on Steam I read that Haoplay is 14+ while darkwinter would be 17+, I haven't delved into this so I don't know if it's true, but if it is it comes natural to think that Haoplay might be subject to censorship with a higher probability (I'm not saying it will happen of course) as for the darkwinter client you have 2 ways, ho you use a VPN to ocalize for example in the US and download it from the official DEVS site or you use a direct link to download the launcher, it is not really region-lock so once you have the launcher you can download it and play it without a VPN, for Android just go to QQAPP

Huh, I checked the rate yesterday and pmed my Steam friend about it so I got this saved... lemme log in again and check if they lowered it today?

Okay I looked and you are right, it's also 1,89%. And I know why: I looked at the beginner banner yesterday and it seems to have a slightly higher drop rate.
