I had fun with SNOWBREAK but at least for me it looked like the game was very generous with free resources.

If the First Game is anything to go by. There is Generally no need to Spend Money and everything can be Achieved with Free to Play Grinding.
Spending Money Generally being more of an Option to Skip Grindind.

But thats for the First Game.
This one is not out Yet. So we cant really know.

since this one adepts the "normal" gacha system i doubt you will be able to 100% collect every unit like in girls frontline 1 as f2p user, but im pretty sure you will be able to 99% clear all content as a f2p user (the last 1% beeing extreme challange runs of already cleared content).

since the dev team in the past was very pro consumer with their game titels i doubt much has changed in that department.
