Just use a vpn to start downloading. Use USA and then if the download is to slow you can disable the vpn and restart the download.

These clowns don't even let you change the language to English before starting the game what an oversight and yes I'm using Japanese region/locale for some stuff in my pc, welp uninstall it is then.
