GIRLS' FRONTLINE 2: EXILIUM

Will there be review bombing on this title?
I still remember the various harassments throughout the GFL franchise after the various problems with the launch of the service on the CN server almost a year ago. Even on steam, a game title (Reverse Collapse) that seemed almost irrelevant was treated quite harshly.
So…will the very same thing happen again? I would like to know the mood of Chinese fandom as it exists today.

Probably, but it'd be mostly trolls because they can't still let got the "NTR" drama that wasn't really NTR.

Expect somekind of reaction from those side. But the situation has relatively calmed down compared to a few months back. I was actually expecting another big drama when Mica announced global release. Fortunately, nothing worth-noting happened.

In any case, if they start spamming GFL2's discussion section like they did to RC. Just ignore them. Fueling them will just encourage their behaviour. On the other hand, ignoring them make them lose attention very fast and they will quickly move on to a different target. We learned this from RC's incident. Remember how that a certain very nice and warm thread got locked down because some people just had to engage with them. After that, people stop giving attention to them and they moved on to a different target,ie, WW. Don't forget that.
Shure will. Especiel when the loli TDolls role out (wich will be like INSTANTLY given the entire cast of GF1 will make it back here (they all survvied, at least the original copy of them did(Yep, no more 6 IDW's for ya, she one solo girl now with a name. if she would die it would be over)

Review bombing only matters for the first few days. After that it gets overtaken by all the legit feedback. Except if a company really did something bad, then everyone will come piling in and that's called "a legit complaint".

Who cares anyway? This game will reach top 5 revenue in less than a week, mark my words.

Revenue on the mobile app comparison websites? Do they take the entire franchise into account or just the IOS version? Do they differenciate between the two regional versions for this one and the version that was already playable for a year?

In an extreme case you'd have to measure the performance of at least three different game versions for IOS and two for Windows. Or are you trying to say the game will reach top 5 on Steam charts :Tokyoquestion:

Daiyan event got rewritten as Chapter 8.5. And Daiyan is not the focus anymore. It became Dandelion's event.

Steam also often removes reviews if it's obvious review bombing for stupid reasons with 0 actual constructive feedback.

Hides, not removes, and you can easily see those hidden reviews and the actual review rating. Also its not steam, that option is on the dev/publisher side, where they can hide all reviews no matter if positive or negative from a certain time span. But by using it they make it even more suspicous and makes people more wary of such games, cause clearly the dev/publisher has something they wanna hide.

Also its not a question IF the game will be review bombed its WHEN it will. Its another gacha slob and not even a real game, so the reason people will be bitter is something in the story they dont like or greedy gacha related stuff and not real problems like game breaking bugs, bad optimization or balance issues that are being constantly ignored by the devs.

Most likely,a lot of people, including myself, are pissed off by their weird "region locking and 2 separate versions" shenanigans

From what i have seen so far, the devs did some serious rework of the game. Gone are the NTR stories and the battle against the patriarchy. And the game isn't pretending GFL1 and GFL2 are anything more than waifu selling games anymore. Plus there is fanservice now.

Because of the Chinese players, the game has changed for the better, so i don't think there will be many negative reviews.

Oh wow, so they deleted the only good parts of the first game leaving the gacha garbage in.

Tehr wasn't anything about patriarchy in the game in CN, and the NTR thing was a drama caused by tourists that didn't try to understand what was actually happening.
