You know, so people can fix their graphics settings if needed and actually see what's on screen? Nah, that would actually make sense - better make them click through the screens blind, fix graphics, and then make them go back... because that makes sense!
So if the screen blinds them, then they wouldn't even be able to fix it in the first place, they might get viruses, they put the light on as bright as they can without making it blindful to the really bright screens on some computers, and so people with some of the darker screens on computers, could see... unless if you still use a 1990's computer.
Which, not to be snarky is why I googled it- it if it was as simple as picking fullscreen, it wouldn't have needed to look it up...
