Can't log into Telltale games account or reset password

Been waiting for months to play this game but I still have not been able to log into my Telltale games account (wrong password error) or reset the password (Sorry, your password reset key is no longer valid error). The log in screen says it enhances your game experience, is this true? what does it add? or is it just Telltale games trying to convince me to log in so they can collect some of my play data or something? I can't even ask for help on the official forums because of the same reason. Disgruntled gamer.
