Nudity and sex part of the Game of Thrones essence

Now i dont wanna sound immature, but i really feel like sex and nudity is a part of game of thrones and it goes deeper than just "boobs". It just doesent feel completely like GoT, the dialuoge is spot on, but it feels a bit lacking overall. Sex and romantic relationships are great ways to quickly establish relationships between characters in mature games.

I watch the Game of Thrones hbo television broadcasting and I have been watching the show since it's airing. But, I never found the sex/ nudity scenes imporant nor essential to the show. Most of the time, it just feels like they are just trying to grab at the 13 year old crowd who just discovered hormones.

I don't get it either, it's in the books and in the show.
GoT is rated M as was TWAU that had nudity, they might as well benefit from what they can do inside their rating.

Welll..I both agree and disagree..The thing the makers of the TV show did to atttract wiewers in the first season with FAR to much nudity/sex and even borderline porn was NOT needed, certain scenes was needed others just not needed at all and not in the books...example Cercei and Jamie Lannister and Daenerys are good examples of needed ones while most of the others ..are well just fillers in the first season.

Now when the show is a smashing success the nudity and sex is on a completly needed level.

It does seem kind of immature, though. Relationships are in the game. Take the forbidden love between Asher and the Whitehill girl, or Rodrick and that girl from the third house. Just because they aren't doing it on screen doesn't really detract from the writing unless you planned on playing this naked with some lube.

And that would make sense if these 13 year olds had credit cards that would allow them to buy the show, but alas it turns out that 13 year olds cannot legally buy GoT DVDs so arguing that this is done to sell DVDs to 13 year olds is a bit stupid, don't you agree?

There is really no point in adding sex, there is so much of it in the tv series just because HBO made it and I dont see it as something connected with the series in particular (HBO has so much naked scenes in all their series they actually make them kinda boring). Besides, it would just hit the uncanny valley big time.

I think people should get over the "OMG JUST WATCH PORN" mentality. You can watch violence but not a nipple? Yeah okay. It doesn't even have to be overly sexual nudity.

The game doesn't need it, it's story driven and the sex fluff doesn't really add much; granted, it brought a lot of people into the show, but the scenes in GoT where there's nudity just seem gratuitous and don't add much other than "♥♥♥♥ yeah, titties!"

Right with you on this conclusion. The show would be just as mind-blowingly awesome without the sex or nudity.

HBO can get away with it, but millions of people don't tune in for real T&A, nevermind illustrated sex scenes. Agreed though there could be more sense of love and passion as it would lead to caring more when the character is ultimately killed
