Betraying Tyrion Lannister?
Has anyone managed to do so? What happened. I was determined to do so but melted at his gentlemen's attitude. I think it was a mistake doing so

Same here, HBO's version of Tyrion is just too charming to resist. I'm actually quite worried now that I led Mira to her doom...

Same :(

I lied to him till the very end, but it didn't work out, he just said that I made one mistake: I shouldn't have brought wine from Cercei's cellar, because she usually forbids everyone to bring him wine. And, since we are forced to bring him wine, we will fail in any case. But maybe I'm wrong.

I just think it's extremely out of character the way they did the scene. There's a guard outside, Tyrion already suspects it and he might as well be shouting at this point "did my sister send you? I know if you tell me, you'll get hurt but instead of whispering or being subtle I'm going to make sure you're doomed"

Agreed, Tyrion should know his sister well enough to figure out that the guard is serving her.

I actually thought Tryion and Mira wee going to whisper that bit when I made the choice to tell the truth, in the hopes that Tyrion would then come up with some plan, like naming fake witnesses. That would have been more in-character for him.

Same orrphal. Unfortunately Tyrion went bonkers and Mira got caught. I hope Margaery will step in for the rescue. Surely she wouldn't allow her handmaiden to become Cersei's plaything

The very first bit of dialogue, "I NEED to talk to you," got me excited because I thought the conversation was going to lead to dialogues that say one thing, but actually suggest something else. I thought she would be able to gesture that the guard was listening and then proceed to have a clever discussion. Nope. Lol. Mira sucks. XD Unfortunately the writers made her so.

Yeah @Jaxercise, I tried to steer the conversation so I could let him know we were being listened to. I tried to stay silent (wishing I could just gesture to Tyrion or something), but the telltale writers were just like "nope!". Staying silent = Tyrion getting suspicious and then the guard throwing me out.

AFAIK it's impossible to betray Tyrion, which just makes the entire scene useless and nothing more than filler. gr8

I didn't betray him. I think Cersei knew it wouldn't work and wanted to see how easily you would turn on Tyrion. I'd rather have Tyrion on my side -- even if his position looks weak. He has friends at King's Landing.

Whole Mira's line is one big useless filler, tbh. For 5 episodes she's trying and trying and trying to do something but it's all so useless and...gah.
And this scene with Tyrion is just peak of absurd - we know that guard is only hearing conversation but not looking at us, but we don't have any options but to lie or not to lie...just facepalm.

You can't fool Tyrion, no matter what. The only choice you have is whether you want Tyrion to take you as a liar or if you want to be honest with him.

The entire time, I said to myself, 'Tyrion knows exactly what's going down, Mira. You can't lie to him,' and then he was like 'Cersei sent you,' and I was like 'There it is, Mira. Don't lie to the halfman on me. It won't work. Tyrion knows exactly what you're doing.'

As soon as he make a comment about the wine, I knew I couldn't fool him. What I was actually trying to do through the dialogue is make up some other reason for really wanting to see him, and try to use that as a cover to get what I really wanted. He knew something was up, the best I was going to be able to do is misdirect him to assume it was about something else. Unfortunately she just ended up blurting the whole truth out to him.
