What was the point in Mira???
Did Mira actually effect the overall plot at all? It felt like she was just there to show off some of the king's landing characters so they could put Tyrion in all the advertising. I liked some of her choices, i enjoyed trying to manipulate characters into helping me but to be honest...nothing came out of her storyline. Thoughts?

You're welcome to your opinion.

I've named two kids after Tolkien characters too. Pretty much everyone we meet thinks they are the coolest, most creative and unique names they've ever heard.

But feel free to name *your* kids anything you like. :)

Which are those two names ?
my guess is
Sauron and Saruman

You think that Arya is an uninteresting, time wasting character? I can honestly say I've never heard that opinion before. Not attacking you, just really surprised.

Then again, I named a kid after her, so I am biased. Lol.

You will regret that sooner or later, never name your kids after show/film characters, god.

I GUESS HE DIDN'T REGRET NOW!

The reason the ending felt bad wasn't that the bad guys won: it was that nothing was accomplished!

In game of thrones, the characters deeds always come back to the core narrative, and large victories are offset by defeats. In season 1, Ned is executed, but his son captures Jamie Lannister and starts winning the war, and two seconds later Dany hatches her Dragons. In season 2 the Lannisters win the biggest battle, but the one leading them is one of the most livable characers who attains a great personal victory despite his stature on the battlefield. Even the Red Wedding is offset by the purple wedding almost immediately afterward, as well as Danys continued victories in the east.

This? Not so much. Mira accomplished nothing we could see: Maybe she stopped some sell swords, but you don't really know. Don't TELL us that, show it! And don't have Mira stop some of them, have her stop all of them and show us what shes stopping. Not this wishy-washy 'hey I bet that army outside our walls could have been bigger... Maybe that sister in kings landing did something for us. But then again, who knows.'

When Sansa Stark is powerless, She still affects some change and becomes directly involved in game changing events to the story. Not Mira. At least Gared is accomplishing something, even if it's uncertain just what that is yet. Mira just has everything conspire against her at every turn and has no real opportunity to do anything except choose to save her own head or not. She makes powerful friends who... do nothing. She makes key deals with these powerful friends that... go nowhere remotely helpful. She faces semi-powerful enemies who... were going to do something, we think. We're pretty sure, right?

Game of Thrones lives by mixing the bad with the good. In the telltale game, life sucks, and then you die. After you watch everyone else die.

Nilan, really nailed the explanation there. This game was nothing but disappointment. Most of the time, story-telling is done either for fun, or to teach us something. This game wasn't fun, nor did it really have any sort of moral. I can understand perhaps that life isn't always easy, that the hero doesn't always win, and that things aren't always so black and white (like how the show can sometimes make you empathise with "bad" characters), but to try and portray any of that from sheer disappointment alone was just bad writing. There should of been a better mix of wins and loses.

Yeah this game is pretty much a losing simulator up until the final ep where you sort of slightly fight back but even then a bunch of people die lol
