Season 2 still or cancelled?

I didn't want to spoil anything for myself, but I have been coming across post that talk about endings to the story. Has there been an update in lieu of plans for a 2nd season? What am I missing?

I haven't checked into too deep out of fear of spoilers so if somebody could let me know the 'current' status of this game series I would appreciate. I was SO pissed of when season 1 didn't wrap up with any kind of conlclusive ending.....did they finally come around and treat us fans right?

There will be a season 2, but Telltale is currently busy with other projects: Michonne mini-series (which concluded recently), Minecraft: Story Mode, Batman, Walking Dead season 3, etc.

The forums have some activity, because season 6 of Game of Thrones is currently underway. Most posts are in relation to that and not about season 2 of the game.

Gotta agree. I've never played a less rewarding game and they totally failed to implement the mix of "sometimes bad things happen to the good characters, and sometimes good things happen to them" from the show. Nope, from Episode 1 to 6, it's just one big ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and one gets killed after the other. And the ending is just horrible.

Honestly this game was really hard to play ethically or intelligently because every decision you made ♥♥♥♥♥♥ you over, either you helped someone and got screwed or you didn't and you got a tiny reward that would later screw you harder and deeper. It's games with chooses like these that make me wonder if I'm the crappy player or if the storyline writers were ♥♥♥♥♥. I was totally screwed in the end with everyone dead or heading there fast. If season 2 comes out anytime this year, I'll most likely will wait to buy it and see what other's experiences are and hopefully it isn't treated the same as season one.
TL;DR: Game wasn't​ satisfying for all the time I put in, waiting for season 2 to see if it's worth my time (It probably won't be since it killed my favorites off and buried the ones still living, but I'm usually pessimistic. )

You are not alone. I'm a Telltale and GoT fan, but this game was simply terrible. It wasn't rewarding in any way. No matter what you did, every action had only negative outcomes. This game is unable to reward the player in any way. I was honestly happy when I came to the (very lame) end and it was all over...

I got it on a sale if I remember right, so I can't complain really, but the game was a letdown, that's for sure. Not to mention that we had to wait over 6 months for the final episode to be released.

I'm not saying that I won't buy Season 2, because I'll most likely will. Like I said I am a GoT fan, but I'll definetly wait for every single episode to be released and will get it on a 75%, 90% sale.

This is better than that ♥♥♥♥ TWD.Played it like 3 times and still got me emotional.TWD 1 is good but the others are just too fast and are not that deep in a story.

I'll be honest, this is my 2nd favorite Telltale Game Season. I'm really looking forward to season 2 and hoping the Forresters get to kick some ass. They lost almost everything in season 1, but didn't the Starks lose just about everything until recently making a comeback?
My favorite telltale season was #1 of the Walking Dead, although they are all pretty solid. I have the latest TWD season but haven't played it yet.

The issue for me is the last episode. All was fine till then. Then the writers either got lazy or incompetent. Too much happened that made NO bloody sense and while I am ok with cliffhangers. for follow on seasons...their was never a true 'wrap up' of season one. It was like the story just got cut off and dropped.
