No custom key binding, are you fricking kidding me??? It's a PC GAME!!
I like the game and the Borderlands series, but not everyone uses WASD, do you realize this Telltale Games???
I have an AZERTY keyboard (you know, like many non-USA countries have??).

Even when changing the keyboard settings in Windows to US, it's still confusing and annoying to use ("press Q" on screen, which is actually A on my keyboard, etc...).

Also, I'm left handed (mouse), I want to use the arrow keys and keys on the right side of the keyboard.
I mean seriously, this is a 2014 game and you can't change the key bindings, this makes the game very annoying an harder to play for many people.

I'm sure I'm not the only one hating this incredibly stupid decision of not having custom keybinding in the game...
PLEASE FIX THIS IN AN UPCOMING PATCH, because the way it is now I can not enjoy the game properly.

Also, if someone knows a fix (editing an .ini or a mod) please tell me.

I've never heard of an AZERTY keyboard, sounds interesting.

Anyway, I don't think Telltale allows keybinding in any of their games, at least not in TWD, TWD S2 and TWAU.

If you have the capability, I'd suggest hooking up a controller if it's too distracting.

Telltale just told you to go ♥♥♥♥ yourself. They have never included key bindings, and never will. Leave a negative review on the store page, just like I did.

Those are sad little Muricans who've never ventured out before.

I completely understand your frustration. You can use the arrows keys to move though without rebinding, which isn't too bad. Then you just have to use whatever the equivelant of the Q and E are on your keyboard, and deal with it durring QT events.

Would have been nicer with bindings though, and probably wouldn't have taken more than a day dev time to put in.

I never knew AZERTY keyboards existed. That doesn't make me a "sad little Murican." It just means I have never seen a keyboard from another country. Why would I need to?

Just use a gamepad. Even with a QWERTY keyboard, TTG's games are better played with one anyway.

Not everybody like, or even can use gamepad. Some people used to more precise mouse controll, some people hands get tired from holding something on weight, some people have long\slender fingers not fitted for gamepads etc.

Even though I like Telltale games, this is still an issue! So many games were released already, and this is not the first time gamers complain about keyboard controlls. Telltale just won't listen to that. But community tries to reason with them. Another petition should be around the corner

I never heard heard of a AZERTY keyboard too. And im not from the USA. I always thought there are only QWERTY and QWERTZ Keyboards.

I can feel your pain, I'm a left handed gamer as well and not having the ability to change the control layout seriously annoys me consider the other Telltale Games I've played (Back to the Future, Sam & Max) have allowed me to change the key layout. If its the case I can't change the layout in The Walking Dead, I've wasted my money then as I've already bought the first season.

You know it's not a shooter game right? All you do is hold the controller and make decisions.

Your AZERTY keyboard doesn't have arrow keys?
Superlienju Dec 1, 2014 @ 4:00am
You could try Joy2Key to re-bind the keys.

It's not a surprise that PC game don't have key blinding nowadays.
Because PC games are dying after 2010.
You can see many PC games in these years are just a creepy unoptimized console port with controller based UI.
Even PC games have 4k, 120fps Bah-Bah-Bah
An unoptimized ♥♥♥♥♥♥ console based port still make PC version ♥♥♥♥.

You should thank them because they have make a keyboard & mouse based UI.
The controls are no problem. You can use arrow keys or click your mouse key to make your character walk.

Also, get a QWERTY or a left handed keyboard.
Even your local store only sell the French AZERTY keyboard. You not in 3rd world or a dictated countries.
It's not so hard to get a "normal" keyboard on ebay or amazon.
