Episode 3 discussion [Also spoilers]

Well as the title says I think it's time to discuss what happened during this episode.
Didn't expect the whole "Rhys-Sasha shipping" from them but I think maybe it's for the good. Only time will tell.
Also it's really impressive Gearbox allowed them to show us how original Vault Hunters managed to capture Athena.
Anythign else I missed?

The timeline is Borderlands, Borderlands The Pre Sequel, Borderlands 2 and then Tales from the Borderlands. Meaning the original vault hunters captured Athena twice now.

Oh I thought we were talking about the entire game pre sequel not the intro. Sorry bout that.

You are playing presequel (before 2) which is being narrated by Athena (After 2)
Tales of Borderlands (story after 2)

Borderlands 2 ending was about learning there is more vaults.
Borderlands Presequel ending was about a "War" is coming.

We do not know whether Athena got caught twice. The story of Athena is to narrate her part of the story while being "caught". Borderlands 3 is a follow up to the Presequel ending.

We do not have solid evidence at this time. Because episode 3 ended, Athena being defeated, Brick and Mord were there for Athena to give to Lilith. If the remaing episodes are coming to that way...It might be that Athena in episode 3 is continuation of Presquel narrative and leads to Borderlands 3. Also this could introduce new characters as well in Borderlands 3. We may see Fiona in the upcoming chapter.

I was a bit wrong about the original vault hunters the beggining of this thread because I missed that part where mord comments about Lilith having Athena.

There is one thing where you can see that this is the first and only capturing of Athena.

Brick and Mordecai in the beginning of the Pre-Sequel do have exactly the same wounds which they get in Tales of the Borderlands Episode 3! Look for it. ;)
