I had no idea what was going on with that until I played Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep DLC in B2. Then again, some other things also made more sense after going back and playing B2 and the Pre-Sequel... if making more sense is really the right way to describe it...

"I should probably clarify -- the diamond horse I’ve been telling you about? It's not a sculpture, or anything. It's a living horse that actually happens to be made of -- actually, I'll just go get her. Butt Stallion! Say hello." *Horse whinnies* "Butt Stallion says hello."

See, that makes more sense, because when I finished ep4, I was shocked at the tiny percentage of people who, like me, chose to deface the mural, since it implied that the vast majority chose to shoot Butt Stallion. But if you didn't know what you were doing, well, I guess you're only murdering her by accident, which is slightly better.

I interpreted it as shooting what I thought was just a statue (because I hadn't played B2 nor the DLC yet). I figured it would be more mayhem than pulling down a painting to break a statue instead of murdering a diamond double unicorn... duocorn? bicorn? whatever. If I had known a) what Buttstallion was and b) that I would rip the painting and not just knock it down, I definitely would have gone with the painting the first time.

Oh wait, so this was known if you're a fan of the Pre-sequel or certain DLC or whatever that it is actually alive or something?
Damn, that wouldn't have been nearly as funny I guess..

For me, that was one of the most shocking, double take inducing and funniest scenes in ep 4, Fiona's reaction and facial expressions pretty much matched my own in real life.

No. In Borderlands 2, very early on (Just before you fight Boom Bewm) he'll call you up to explain that she is an actual living pony made of diamonds.

Oh, that was so many years ago. I'm surprised people would have remembered that or even took it at face value instead of just thinking it was another one of Jack's throwaway exaggerations/lies.
Fair enough.
