Any guesses on what's inside the vault? [SPOILERS]
I strongly believe this vault has a connection to Borderlands Pre Sequel's ending (the "war is coming" warning from the eridian). The name of the vault is "Vault of the Traveller", which makes me think about the odd eridian in pre sequel. What if he is the "traveller", afterall, he is very misterious and we don't know much about him, but we do know he teleports or something.

There could even be more vaults of the traveller, like we see in the galaxy map in the ending of Borderlands 2. Maybe he has a role set by eridians to make contact with other civilizations/species/planets by using the "Vault of the Traveller" to teleport from one vault to another...

Just my thoughts.

i would say the same as the rest of the borderlands, a deadly creature

BL1 - distroyer

BL2 - warrior

BL:TPS - that three headed guy

and once you kill the deadly creature you get what everything in pandora gives you GUNS

Well, the vault on BL:TPS gave Jack and Zarpedon knowledge about the future. In fact Jack was going to see much more, and get glowy eyes like Zarpedon did, but Lilith punched the symbol and stopped Jack from seeing more.

I came here searching for Borderlands AND "the traveller" because scared ClapTraps in Borderlands 1 keep reciting 'The Traveller will protect me'

Those are guardians, but not what Vault contain:

Borderlands 1: Eredium protected by Destroyer

Borderlands 2: Warrior as a pet monster who will serve a person that opened da vault.

Pre-Sequel: Future. Jack actually saw the whole shabang, he even saw his death (according to Borderlands wiki and some hints from Gearbox).

So yeah, Vault mat or may not (who knows?) contain a guardian creatcure, but it also contains spechific thingy, like actuall physical artifact or some sort of magic. This Vault may contain somekind of teleport: Mechanical, magical, mental based... stationary or portable. One time use or unlimited

Al Capone's vault is inside of the Borderlands vault. And inside of Al Capone's vault is nothing.

The Vault of the Traveller. That's what it is referred to as. I'm going to take a shot in the dark and say there atleast another Gaurdian, most likely named The Traveller. I don't think he will be quite like the other ones though, although possibly hostile, my guess is he will actually be intelligent, or sentient in a way that we would recognize it as such. He'll probably have some major plot developments to share, insight on plot details for BL3, and possibly even be the one to send out our heroes for BL3 on their quest.

Plot twist, the masked bounty hunter is a vault gaurdian in disguise the whole time! ohmagawd!

Actually, no. The weapons are a plus for the player. In-reality the vaults make you a God. As you could see in The Pre-Sequel, Jack got to see and know everything. He foresaw the future but not long enough to see his death.

Guys, my god... I was just thinking about Rhys and Fiona and remembered Robert and Rosalind Lutece from Bioshock Infinite. Maybe after opening that mystical box in the end of Tales from The Borderlands, Fiona and Rhys get ability to move around different realitys and worlds. And in one of theese "worlds" they are Robert and Rosalind. I know what it sounds crazy but 2K Games also make Bioshock (Bioshock Infinite) P.S I like both of theese games ^_^ . Good luck!:steamhappy:
