That "Shootout" Scene [EP 4]
I was really hoping Jack was screwing with Rhys and he was imagining it all as fun and games while in actuallity he was murdering everyone.

I'm a horrible person. I shot buttstalion.

That whole scene just really lost me. The robots didn't seem to care so I figured nothing bad was really happening - but I just didn't get it.

I think it was just so absurd you aren't supposed to question it.

buttstalion was dead allready
Hopefully, but it was bleeding quite well for a dead horse.

Pay attention to the earlier episodes -- whenever there are Hyperion employees in the background, they're often amusing themselves by play-acting a shootout with each other using their fingers as guns, like kids sometimes do ("bang!" "ah, you got me! *falls down*").

It seems to be an in-joke, part of their corporate culture, maybe a team-building thing. Rhys would of course be familiar with it. I thought it was just a nice touch, then suddenly out of nowhere, in the middle of a tense infiltration, there's that giant finger-gun fight in Ep4 like something out of Kill Bill, and I was grinning like an idiot. Well done, TTG.
It's expressly called a Hyperion tradition if you fail the quicktime events - one of the accountants accuses you of "making a mockery of the Hyperion finger-gun tradition", realise you're not actually Vasquez, then all the accountants will draw real guns and give Rhys a serious case of high-velocity lead poisoning.

About the Buttstallion thing. The one good thing is that the greatest line ever so far in TFTB is Gorty's "I'm ready for prison life!!". It was amazing.
