episode 4 janey and athena *spoilers*

when fiona and sasha go to scooters shop and talk with janey. the last question janey asks them is "did she say anything about me before they took her?"
the two answers are "she said she loves you" or "she didnt get a chance"
the thing i dont understand is i dont remember athena saying she loves her anywhere at the end of episode 3. i kno the backstory ive played and finished the pre sequel before i started playing tales from the borderlands and i know what happens. so fiona is lieing saying athena told her she loves janey even tho she didnt say it?
