Can you fail all the character requirements?

At the end of the game, in chapter 5, Is it possible to have no one extra on your team?
Or is there always at least one person?
As I know you can fail Springs and Zer0 and Athena and Clap-Trap or something.
And you can easily fail August. Can you fail them all?

No you will always end up with a minimum amount.

hmm i just wonder normally u should be able to fail the mall cassus may get killed by athena, Felix can die, Jaina can be upset about not honoring Scooter and so one so if the game leaves u no choice but to give u a minimum amount only August Jaina Springs and Athena would be an option to do so. Maybe we should give it a try XD

Technically, yeah, you should be able to fail all the character requirements.

Felix- Don't warn him about the bomb
Zer0- Fiona doesn't identify herself as a Vault Hunter
Cassius- encourage Athena to kill him
August- Blame him for messing up the Deal
Athena- (Dunno what specific moment triggers this) Fiona doesn't show potential?
Janey- Don't launch Scooter's satillite and honor his memory
Mystery Hunter- Don't have enough cash to afford him.

I think I covered everyone. Do they always have the same requirements to unlock?

That's not true. I chose another line when talking to Janey and I got to choose Athena for my team later anyway.

Yeah, I was honest with Janey, but I got to choose Athena for the reason listed above. I'm guessing that each character has multiple pass/fail triggers, and 3 of them will always pass. I heard that August can still join you, even if you sell him out to his mom.

I think I remember seeing somewhere that Athena and August are always available, no matter what your choices, it'll just say they're willing to join you for whatever other reason. If no-one else is available after those two, Zer0 will become unlocked, again, no matter what your choices. I haven't tried it myself, though, so I can't confirm it for sure.
