How to change the language?
The ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ed game is in spanish for whatever reason. I got the key from Humble Bundle so it shouldn't be a region locked version. In settings theres no option to change the language at all. I speak spanish but t want to play this game in english.

I started a game and the language is in english, but the subtitles are in spanish wich annoys me a lot :(((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((8

What the hell do i do?

Same thing just now, Steam updated a lot of games out of nowhere and now it's in spanish. I was playing it in english just yesterday and there's no language tab in the game properties!

Same issue here, but with it being in French, which kinda sucks as I am living in France but don't speak French fluently -.- Makes it horrible to chose what to do in a few seconds, which means I can't play the game.

Is this some kind of joke? There is no way to choose what language you play this game in?

I'm certainly not going to change my system language just to play this in English.

I've just asked Telltale's tech support if there's any way to do this that doesn't involve having to change my computer's system language.

Though considering my prior run-ins with their tech support I'm not hopeful

Same guide but for Windows 10- just changes the language for some programs, system language stays the same.

Really, i have to change the system language just to change subtitles in a Telltale game? Ahah no, sorry but it's their fault if they can't implement a checkbox to choose which subtitle use ingame!

I'm pretty sure there must be some way to change it from the game files, but I have no idea of how. I'm having the same problem and it really sucks! I would like to keep my system in my mother tongue, but I rather have the subtitles and dialogue options in the original language. I would be immensely grateful if someone more savvy than me finds a way to alter the game files to do so, as I see I'm not the only one who's bummed about it.

Same here

If you try to change the game file or the registry you'll find that the game is set to english but in spite of that the subtitles are set to your system language. So yes, the only solution I've found so far is the one Total Stranger and tipal have linked.

This is ridiculous on behalf of Telltale it can't be so difficult to have an option in-game to change this.

My systems language is still German, the change mentioned above affects just some programs. Changing the systems language or location did indeed do nothing for me, the subs were still in German. And yes it is rather stupid from talltale not to implent a dialogue option, so that you have to take such actions.

Well, I might as well share my frustration here: I just got an official response from Telltale: Changing the language of Non-Unicode programs seems to be, for now, the only way to view the subtitiles in English. Frankly, I'm rather disappointed by this, it would seem to me that to give players the option to use whatever language they please shouldn't take much effort, and changing my entire system's settings just for playing this game is really annoying, even if the change itself doesn't have a big impact on any other programs.

Anyway, case solved: You either follow the steps that the kind people above gave, or you play in your mother tongue. Quite a shame, indeed.

They better fix this. Otherwise I aint touching that game again, which is a shame. I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ loved this game. Now I have to deal with the spoken language and the dialog choices being different. Who at Telltale went to their boss and claimed this was a good idea?!
