My steam is in english and i still get the texts translated in german. At least the workaround with the windows options seems to work.
Thanks for the tip, Vamp.
What settings did you guys change exactly?
My steam is in english, my Windows is....and Tales from the Borderlands stays german. not gonna play it like that :/
I assume your Windows is in german too.
If you look at the shop page, you can also see this game doesn't support german language. This leads to the question, where did that translation come from?
Apparently the only Telltale game which offers an official text translation according to the store page, seems to be "The walking dead Season 1". I´m not sure if someone at Valve did patch "Tales of the Borderlands" without knowledge from Telltale, they might just been too stingy to do their own translation. But who knows?
I´m just glad that i found a fix, but i highly doubt Telltale or Valve will ever do something against that issue.
I'm from Germany, but I don't want to play a game in german language, if it's originally in english, especially when it has good writing and humor which is very language specific. Who the hell tought that was a good idea to have the translation forced without a choice?
Thanks for the workaround, Vamp, gonna try it out.
Thanks, life saver
Doesn't work in my language apparently.
EDIT: For portuguese, you need to delete the portuguese files, change the prefs.prop to english, put it to read only, boot the game, wait for it to crash on startup, delete the prefs.prop and boot the game once again. A few extra steps, but it works.
