Infinite Money Glitch!?!?

Did I just run into an infinite Money Glitch!?!? I started a new game on an existing save-file on which I already passed the game once, AND got to the whole part where Felix gives you the money from the con. Is that why as soon as I first played with Fiona, her "Bank Account" was showing $18001046? Is this just a mismatch of imaging or something? Like, the game remembers seeing those numbers in my previous playthrough and it got stuck, but in the new one I DON'T actually have that amount? Either way, throughout the playthrough of the first episode, I still had that amount whenever I switched to Fiona, and yes, in other points where you collect money, it was added to that amount.

Okay, so I played through, reached Episode 3 where you essentially buy the most stuff for the money (which is clothing for the gang at the Atlas facility) AND it seems like, yes, I do have lots of money, and it's not a mismatch of imaging or anything. I managed to buy the most expensive $1500 or so makeover for the Caravan from Scooter in episode 2, and I didn't even conned him into paying me for the sponsorship deal. And when I got to Episdoe 3 I bought all the most expensive gear for each character, a new outfit for Fiona, new arm for Rhys, glasses for Vaughn, goggles for Sasha and paint job for Loaderbot. So far, nothing broke.

However, I'm worried that the game might break if I reach the scene with Felix in episode 5. Already having that much money, the game might break when I'm added another few million to the bank account. I imagine that Telltale didn't program the vallet to go beyond the amount of 10 million, and multiply that by 2, I don't know what might happen.

Well I know that Felix gives you money in order to hire claptrap towards the end of the game

Maybe the game got confused and thats why you still have that money

It'll be interesting to see what happens. I replicated the glitch in my own game and I'm going to play through the whole thing again to find out what happens when I pick Felix.

My guess is it'll stick at 9,999,999,999 or 10mill. Or maybe a string of garbage characters. If we're lucky, it'll be a cheeky message accusing you of glitching the game. Looking forward to it.

Well, I played all the way through to the very end of the game. Nothing broke. Actually when I finally got to episode 5, the amount of money reverted to $4385. I don't know why THAT specific amount, but I guess it ensured that the possible bug I mentioned won't happen. I got the 9 million again from Felix, and everything was cool. So I guess nothing really that bad happens with this new game exploit. Again, you don't really spend money on anything in this game besides clothing.

All in all, for anyone who might view this post again; to activate this exploit, I guess, just start a new game on a profile in which you already passed the game once, AND got the whole bit with Felix in Episode 5. I think all it takes to get that is save him from blowing himself up in Episode 1.

And no, there seems to be no technical consequences.

I think it is, yeah. Because when I got to the point of choosing a Vault team, LB said that we saved enough money to hire the "secret Vault Hunter"

I actually gave myself like a 1000000$ with a Cheat Engine before every time i reaplyed the game, but next time i play it i'm gonna try to use this glitch instead of CE =)

Have you never heard about Cheat Engine? You can use it to create cheats and hacks for any game at all.
