Stuck in Drainage Tunnels?

Hi, I picked up this game in the Humble Bundle and so far am really loving it. I got to a point where I absolutely can't seem to progress past.

[Spoilers if you haven't reached this part?? / Please don't spoil me on content past this / endings]

So I am at the part where you go into the Drainage Tunnels with Turing, Lexi and Dekker while the HR and the hybrids are having their distraction riot. I got really frustrated with trying to blindly find my way through the tunnel and kept getting flooded out of it, so I looked up a walkthrough video (https://youtu.be/wJLT0PWyGfI?t=9m13s / link goes to timestamp for the section I am talking about.)

But much to my confusion, when I click the same arrows that this person did, I am not seeing the same rooms - hitting right at the start leads me to a corner and then a dead end, whereas in the video they go to a long open tunnel that they can move forward in. Is the design of the tunnel RNG or something....? And any tips to get through this? I'm feeling like absolutely everything I click leads me to screens that look the same or dead ends. I've reloaded and tried this a couple times already. Would love some help before I go out of my mind.

These tunnels are randomly generated so you can't really use a walkthorugh to help. You're supposed to find a monitor somewhere with a map of the tunnnels that you can use to find the exit. Usually there are several of them in the maze so start going randomly until you find one and then use it to find the right way to the exit. The maze is usually pretty simple so when you get a map it's usually pretty easy to go to the exit from here.
