jump gate not working

so i was trying to use one of the jump gates in the system but when it activates nothing happens and a window with a climbing number of internal errors comes up

I had this happen to. the last patch should have stopped it I think. Im in the habit of saving the game just before I use a gate. but I have since built a warp drive so I haven't used them since.

I just got that too for v0.8901, tried to jump using the gate and got the internal error showing up with a scriptcount number (I guess whats what it is) and wont engage. Do you have to have a captain on your ship? Mines on the station running things and I dont know how to get another captain hehe.

Ok just tested it out, seems you DO need to have a captain on board to use the jumpgates. Just jumped to an asteroid field then to another star system through the jumpgates with no issues.

I am assuming jump gate is not working yet? And i have mined every asteroid in my area and cannot get silver in this first area? Sooooo?

n.m i made my ship too big for the circle in the jump gate!

I had an 'internal error' message pop up with a rapidly changing number attached the first time I approached a warp gate, too. It worked fine once I reloaded from the last save.
Really appreciate that the game doesn't tend to completely crash every time there's an error.
