GRANDIA II HD Remaster

GRANDIA II HD Remaster

Now I just need Breath of Fire 4 on steam...
I loved FF8 PC- it came out on steam.

I also loved Grandia 2 on PC- it has now thankfully came on steam (I don't think I could even get Grandia 2 to work on windows 7 64bit+ before)

but now I just really need Breath of Fire 4 PC to come out on steam. Woo for more awesome jrpgs on steam!

I'd agree on this, 4 was pretty underrated, but good times. Ershin says make it happen! Although, there -are- other ways of playing it on PC that are not afforded so well with other consoles :P
Only interest of having a new version of this game properly ported: the cuted content.
Like seeing an head flying when being cut, or the most important part...

THE ONSEN EVENT !!
This Sir! Have a cabbage!
Breath of Fire 4 is one of my favourite JRPGs based on the Playstation version and I'd love to have a working version of it on Steam, but the old PC version is a mess, especially on newer systems. From what I'm reading on these forums, this 'Anniversary Edition' of Grandia 2 still suffers from most of the issues that the old PC port did, and I wouldn't expect much better from a Steam release of BoFIV.
Yes, I know you can just emulate it. But honestly as someone who played the PC version legally I feel like using emulation would be a downgrade. The biggest issue with getting the PC versions of games working seems to be compatability with video codecs and installers- that is something which a PC release would fix.

Sure, it may not fix the controls, or issues with the camera, but I loved playing them on the PC the first time regardless of the downsides and I would again.

And cheers Daia- I shall put her in my patch!
skies of aracdia plz..

Have you seen what emulation is capable of doing? I seriously doubt, with the correct configuration, that it would look like a downgrade. At the very least, it would be on par with the PC version, and more likely than not, better. The sprites used in the game were extremely high quality, so they render nicely, and the rest of it is done in 3D models, which emulation can offer you internal resolutions of 3 times the original PS1 output, which results in a silky smooth picture.

But hey, I wouldn't be opposed to having it released on Steam, I'm just pointing out existing alternatives, and saying "don't knock it til you try it".
True, emulation does often force more AA and aftereffects these days. But I was more meaning for controls. I find it a ♥♥♥♥♥ to set up the virtual controller on an emulator. But anyway.

Another bonus of it coming here is if we buy it then they will port more games over. I still dream of the day when they start releasing NEW JPGs here.. instead of just second hand playstation and vita ones.
BoF 3 and 4, and I am one happy lady ! Those are forever in my top 10 game list ! :fullstars:
BOF 5 is a tad bit different, but it's also a really great game. <3
Go post your request on Capcom's Facebook and/or Twitter. Posting in the forum for a game by completely different developer/publisher is going to help no one.

Ditto for the Skies of Arcadia guy, except go ask Sega.

Don't forget 2. BOF2 was amazing- esspecially with the retranslation patch
I would love this. Breath of fire 3 was my life. it was my first jrpg. i remember that i didn't own a ps1 or the game, but i got some money by doing chores around the house and such, so that every other weekend i could borrow a ps1 and the game from the local video store for 24 hours. i played the game so much you guys...for months and months, and i didn't have a memory card. so whenever i died i had to start over, and over again. weirdly this did not bother me at the time, so i pretty much know that game by heart. today i have no patience for dying in games...weird.

i also loved BoF4. so much. i loved the art-style, the ancient chinese taoism based culture and universe. such a good game. and i would love for it to find it's way to steam somehow. i am a serious BoF4 blood-fan. i even made a tabletop rpg based on it's "dragons are sentient and all around us, even in the rocks, the river and the air" kind of philosophy. and i always loved BoF for it's heavy use of anthropomorphozised animals. Final Fantasy, Suikoden, BoF and Grandia. those games made up my entire childhood.

:)

Don't forget Breath of Fire 3 and Legend of Dragoon.
(Breath of Fire 3 got remade for PSP with widescreen and Fishing minigame accessible from the main menu)
I would never forget BOF3- it is just that BOF4 had a PC port to start with- just like FF8 and Grandia 2 did. I would LOVE fresh ports- I just dont see them happening any time soon.
