Grandia 2 is one of the best stories I've ever experienced in a JRPG. The twist at the end is such a gut punch. LOVED IT! Grandia 1 doesn't really have anything to do with 2.
PS2 version was crap compared to Grandia 2 at 480p on Dreamcast with VGA box.
You can skip Grandia 1 but Grandia 2 is well worth playing (best dreamcast RPG in my opninion)
Just keep in mind it a linear RPG with a point and click world map with points of no return.
Also don't be afraid to put all your points into Mareg, when he leaves your party for good they will refund all the points you put into leveling up his moves.
(just remember to pick the bag up with his points!!!!!!)
Thanks for the answers guys, I will most likely try this game out, as I love jrpgs.
YOU WILL BE DEFEATED
Same, don't have anything against the game. I already finished it eons ago. I still have my DC with project justice 2 and some other goodies. This doesn't really look like a port to me though.
"Well innat cute? BUT ITS WRONG!!!!"
Ryudo says "You Shall Be Defeated" before "Sky Dragon Slash" in the original Dreamcast version. The PS2 and original PC port switched them around for whatever reason.
Not that anyone but myself cares.
