Honestly, and especially since they said they won't be bothered remastering the audio for either game. I would offer to work on CD sourced audio files for Grandia I too for free for them. (if they are using a similar system as AE where they are just .OGG files with looping done either elsewhere or with looping tags.)
It would really only be a few months work in my free time.
It's just so infuriating to see them repeatedly insist that this isn't just a Port but blatantly prove the exact opposite. And in the case of the audio they are actually making the quality worse than the existing releases. (Which is stupidly easy to "Remaster", you just have to buy and rip the music from the soundtracks and cut them up to match the in-game versions.)
And it's not like they are doing anything to redo the graphics , as a reminder here's a comparison of AE and the DC version of II.
From the existing footage of the new port, it looks exactly the same, except for some random eclectic mix of upscaled UI assets. And the shadows seem slightly worse in quality.

uh, how?
Edit: They replied to someone saying the PC versions are coming later
Switch release is this month on the 16th.
I'm hoping PC isn't that far behind but if it's anything like Monster Hunter World, then it'll only take 4 months..
Maybe I was a fool for thinking it was being released in my winter time, how arrogant of me.
Guess, I'll play it again on my PlayStation Classic instead.
