Tomo: Endless Blue

Tomo: Endless Blue

So how "horror" is this going to be?
I very much liked the trailer and it really caught me off-guard in the end so from a cinematographic standpoint, super well done!

I'm now wondering though, is it going to be that kind of "horror" the whole game or is this just a flavour or what exactly is your goal with this setting?

The survival monster battle base building aspects are absolutely up my alley, though if it's full-on horror, not.

It caught me off guard as well, but it made me sad she died. If the game play has this type of element I don't think I want to play it. I don't want to get attached to characters then they die like that.

Yeah, same, which is why I'd like some clarification before I get my hopes up for this game.
I can see it being more of a "this is the bad guy, this is what can happen if the darkness takes hold of a village." I'd like it if it leaned into the horror. I feel like there are plenty of creature collectors, and PalWorld at least has a base building mechanic. I think the horror element would make this stand out. It doesn't have to be in your face constantly, though. When games do that, the horror element can quickly fade.

Of course, I have no idea how they're thinking of doing everything. Maybe its going to be a gory, horror, monster movies type game. Maybe the horror will be very light for what you actually see on screen. Maybe that bit in the trailer was just to catch attention. I have it wish-listed though, and am excited to see where it leads.

I loved it. Immediate wishlist.
Why assume she died? It was surprisingly gruesome but she was possessed, might be one of those bad guys with potential to turn good later. Either way, what a surprise this game, I hope it delivers

What i'd love to see is a subversion of the norms, that "dark and spooky and purple" doesn't necessarily mean evil. Yes it lopped off her arm and jumped inside of her, but they took that weird crystal thing first. Either way what i said before still stands, I love this and have it wish listed. <3 Can't wait to see more.

^This. It could even be something thats not parasitic in origin but symbiotic (in a rather brutal way).

Even if it is 'evil' its kind of a matter of perspective in that regard. I mean, maybe it sees the humans as the evil monsters instead? Its definitely a neat twist on the 'cute and cuddly monster' genre. Happily waiting to pick it up and see it all first hand.

Yeah, you're right. What happened to her may be WORSE than death.
the trailer ending was quite off putting, made me take it out of my wishlist.
