How do I hide the icon in the taskbar?

I personally dislike the fact that I have to leave the icon in my taskbar there with my other programs when I want the app to be running while I'm working and doing stuff, when just by clicking on the character It shows the "Quit" button, for me to close whenever I want

So, does anyone know If there is a way do deal with this?

not yet unfortunately the devs seem incapable of putting this thing in a tray like wallpaper engine.
