Desktop Mate

Desktop Mate

Cute... but kind of basic in comparison to others
Without mod support, there isn't really much reason to keep booting this up other than it being interesting for the first hour or so. I was tempted because of the Miku DLC, however, there is no sound or real interactivity/minigames outside of a very basic touch system. Another similar desktop pet on steam "V-pet Simulator" offers a much more robust system with food, sleep, water, mood, and other things to interact with. It also offers mod support which lets people add a lot more to it. I do, however, like the alarm system and useful things like this would keep me using it.

I understand the business model seems to be adding characters, however, you really need to add more to the base game in order to justify it. You have a solid foundation of a cute 3D character to interact with, but it's a bit too barebones atm for me to justify spending money on it when the alternatives are much better. Hope you guys keep adding onto it, but atm it's a bit disappointing.
