Desktop Mate

Linux support?
Has anyone gotten this to work on Linux? If so, how?

I don't think any Windows desktop app will ever work on Linux, due to the simple fact that they use completely different desktop environments.

i does work with wine but the problem is the background is black so... if anyone has a solution to make it transparent so the application would work has intended i would gladly accept any help
Don't count on the devs to even consider it. Japanese devs hate linux and opensource in general.

Not only the background is black but no left click interaction is possible for any odd reason.

Proton and ProtonGE do not work, you are not able to navigate the menus.
Yep, it seems to run in a black box and not respond to left clicks for me on Steam Deck. Sad

not true, linux has some great apps made by japanese devs, its just not worth it to develop for linux most of the time because of the low user adoption.

low adoption -> no dev makes anything for said platform -> platform isn't adopted because there isn't enough software for the average user -> windows remains a monopoly forever
