Works on multiple PC's?
Somewhat of a stupid question:
I would like to know if I have Steam on multiple computers, will I be able to install and used on each of them?
Amazon.ca is about to have a sale on the disc version, and I believe with that one you can only install on one PC. As you can play/install any game on your Steam account with any computer, I would assume you can do the same with this program.
Also, if anyone knows how to get a disc version of a program to work on multiple PC's, say an external hard drive, please let me know!

According to our End User License Agreement, you have the right to run a single purchased copy of our software on more than one machine as long as these machines are not running simultaneously. For instance, it is completely within your legal right to have the software installed on your laptop and desktop computers. You cannot, however, have this one copy installed on multiple computers running simultaneously in your home or in your workplace.

This same agreement applies to both the standalone and the Steam versions. Conveniently, our policy is very similar to Steam's: You can install on multiple computers, but only run the software on one at a time.

EDIT: Installing to an external hard drive is not recommended or supported. Movie Studio 13 Platinum is intended to be installed to the system drive. While you're welcome to try other configurations, you might run into problems and we can't help you if you do.

Thank you very much!
Extremely helpful, and surprisingly quick response.

I've heard amazing things about your products, and now to know that technical support goes above and beyond furthers my loyalty towards Sony.

This was one thing that almost made me not purchase the steam version. Interestingly enough I use an old laptop to render my videos so that it doesnt tie up my gaming rig. I never was planning on running it on more than one computer at the same time but what was a problem is two computers logged into the same steam account if one is running sony movie studio the other runs into problems playing a game and forces the other to log out. I kinda saw that coming but i really wanted to try the software. What i ended up doing is leaving the laptop in offline mode so i could use my steam account on my gaming rig while i waited for videos to finish. AGAIN im not trying to negate the EUAL by running two instances of sony movie studio i just really wanted to be able to play my games... but also having the program on my steam account so it could receive easy updates and always be in my software library rather having to go dl it when i wiped hard drives and then digging through old emails looking for a key or what not. anyways that is how i remedy that kind of issue and it works pretty however it does not log hours... not that is needs to :P

That's actually really good to know too. I may go ahead and purchase the disc version then.
