"Building Peaks" what it does? slower load
Hello

what "building peaks" does in audio section? its something we must put it on? Because
I canceled the peaks last time because its takes very long time to load audio, besides
my in game audio is completely fine, it doesnt make anything messy with audio

so I'm good to go? can I cancel it everytime? thats simply because I dont have super
CPU and my hard disk is 2 years old its not a SSD which thats why takes longer time
I think

It builds a "visual graph" of the audio on an audio-track, which can be helpful for if you want to zoom-in on that media for precise editing, but yeah, you don't need it.

I suppose it depends on several factors (length of the media, your computer's hardware, etc...), on how long it takes, but I typically find it doesn't take too long to generate the peaks (for example, let's say I have a 15 minute audio media I add, it generally builds the peaks for it within a few seconds on my computer).

Building peaks is done only the first time a particular audio file is added to the timeline, and allows Movie Studio to open the file more quickly on future loads. LoneWolfDon is basically correct that it's a "graph" or a "map" of the audio information that aids in viewing and editing that information.

Yes but I found that canceling peak makes Movie Studio run faster, because as I said
I have nearly 3 years old Hard disk its not SSD because of that data transfer is much slower
on my system when peak enabled, my CPU also making a large noise when peak happens

I'm not doing any detailed audio editing so I can simply cancel it,

Only thing I wished in Movie Studio and that didnt happen, a list of channel options
where I upload stuff to my youtube channel, why Sony products dont have "permission"
feature? I mean other video programs have a feature allowing me to upload correct
youtube channel once I connect the application to my account

by the way Thanks for reply, I'm really enjoying with my Movie Studio and Sony have my
full support when Movie Studio 14 arrives
