Changing Aspect Ratio on Preview

I am starting a page on Fb with some friends and we are focusing on 1080 x 1080 videos. I saw a thread that showed how to change the settings on the render but I was wondering if there was a way to change the settings on the preview as well. I have been using Final Cut Pro on the Mac to edit for the last month but I would also like to edit on the go, so responding to this would be a great help.

at the top left of the preview window is the video properties option. or press alt+enter.
