Strange, by default that settings is usually off.

But yea it can cause colors to be washed out even in some videos you get warning about it if you plan to use that settings.

Super necro response but I badly needed to say.... Thank you! Just installed Movie Studio 17 and it's -still- a thing even now! My video renders were washed out, I was compensating with saturation x2.0 similar to you, but the videos were still oddly overcompressed and blocky even so. It never even ocurred to me to check if stereoscopic settings were enabled. After much head scratching your post offered the solution!

if I was to guess, I'd say maybe it detected that my computer is '3D ready', since I run a Quadro, Nvidia 3D vision and a 3D monitor and was perhaps being 'helpful'.
