Attacking opens crafting menu (on controller)

With an XBox 360 controller, plugged in, about half of my runs have been ruined by having the attack button also open the crafting menu every time it's pressed. It's seemingly random how this happens, and once I actually had it in the middle of a run where it was working fine.

This glitch is making the game unplayable, hope it's fixed soon!

I am getting the same problem. I was able to complete one run without it happening, but upon starting a second one the A button now brings up the crafting menu.

Seems to me the bug only occurs if I took a trip to crafting pop first, and not always
