You cannot save progress when you help the Host.
You can only advance your progress when You are the Host and you invite somebody.
Hmm, so I played as a guest, and when I went back into my host/save game settings, I could import the online progress from the host's game. So I'm not sure what that's even for then?
There is a post pinned in "General Discussion" section about Co-op and it tells how to save progress as a non-host.
