Does the new online co-op option give each player their own screen?

When playing in local co-op you obviously have to share the screen space since it's split screen. This means you can't get too far from each other and things coming in from the edges of the screen can get a bit frustrating. When playing in online co-op does each player get their own screen space to play in or do you still split the screen and can't get too far from each other?

Yep, if you play online, both of you have your own screen.
