Little Automaton quest
Is there a specific place to find the siblings or am I just getting a ton of horrible RNG? I've been running the second map a lot and so far I haven't found another sibling.

Just like with souvenirs my experience shows that the item (or random event) can occur on any dungeon within the given world area (cellar door). And for your own sanity (and to "reset" a random events generator a bit) it's generally better to rotate maps when you are looking for something.

Also i saw devs here on forums gave advice to exit and close the game and start it anew if something doesn't drop in a while — again, i think, to reset a random numbers generator properly.

Also, in case of quests the map itself shows where the items drop — see the corresponding text line on the dungeon select.

In normal fashion, I found the second one after I made this thread. Not sure why, but if I'm ever having trouble finding something, I just go post about it somewhere and I tend to find it immediately. Sounds like there's one more to find, so back I go...

Usually it's the wine machine rocks that just won't drop (i think i made 15 runs for the last one; saw several new random events too along the way). But their drop chances were improved with a patch some time ago. And little automatons should be no problem, i believe. :CatMorta:

Got them all. Oddly enough I saw several posts about the rocks and I had no trouble with those.

The souvenirs are probably going to take the longest to find but if there's a lot of them I likely won't continue to run the older areas non-stop. No gold and very little experience for just cosmetic stuff and an achievement.

Nice!
I think it took me maybe an hour to get all the missing souvenirs though (earlier dungeon enemies just melt to Lucy and Kevin when you have fully upgraded Workshop). Also i saw some new random events there too. But with the new NG+ i think it's more efficient (and fun) to get them all normally in that mode (especially, after the large story DLC which devs promise in half a year or so).

Well I was unaware that souvenirs reset. Guess I missed that part when it was telling me about what NG+ would affect... I had almost all of them before I killed the final boss.

Oh well.

No, i don't think they reset (i hope so, at least). I meant, why hunt for the last missing souvenirs in your regular game, when you can do that in NG+ with more gold and normal progression there?

I just received the bat and none of the souvenirs I found previously are in my home. Pretty much the only things that stayed were the character unlocks and my upgrades. Everything else seems to be reset.

Also not a fan of the animal shelter upgrades. If they were permanent boosts, that would be fine, but it's rather annoying feeding pets for a temporary boost.

Well, that's a strange decision. Maybe souvenirs were made as silent quests, and that's why they were reset with everything else. Too bad.

And you can always let the animals starve! :Raccoon:
