I don't really understand the family talents that involve runes and other family members, e.g. "A Knife For All"
hello,

as mentioned, I don't really understand these.

mechanically, I'm guessing that without, e.g. A Knife For All, Linda would never get runes that said something like "when you use Explosive Crescendo, Kevin will do X."

however, given that you can only have one rune per ability at a time anyways, I don't really understand how this is a benefit? Linda having that rune on Explosive Crescendo just means she can't have another rune for Explosive Crescendo?

given that all the family perks are super useful, I'm guessing these are useful somehow, and so I'm certian I'm missing something.

Thanks in advance for answers!

sorry for bump, but even after all this time I still don't really understand >_<

my best guess would be that they increase the likelihood for a rune to drop? that is, if before there were e.g. a 1% chance for a rune to drop, with each family perk it's now an additional 1% chance, for a total of 2%?
These family perks unlock additional runes for every member besides the owner of the perk. In your example the rune that causes explosive crescendo to cause Kevin to do X will only drop after you unlock the corresponding perk on Kevin. Same with the others.

Thanks for confirming that. I'm still mainly curious about how this is a benefit, though, since you could only have one rune per slot anyways? That is, when Linda picks up the rune that makes Kevin do X, she now can't use a rune that, e.g., causes enemies to burn? As mentioned, my main curiosity about this arises from the fact that the other family perks are all extremely useful.

Personally I find these perks to be kinda hit and miss. Some of them are pretty good some of them are kinda mediocre. In terms of your average power level they generally don't increase it nor do they decrease it. It really just increases the pool, more variety but no real objective benefit.

Unlike the other family perks these are more just flavor than actual power.
