Thanks for a detailed feedback!
We are still tweaking the controls, keybindings and even the movement itself. We are also testing our ideas during shows like Gamescom and PAX. At PAX most people used controllers and it was just fine for them - so the tweaks we did for the latest build seemed to work just fine. :)
But anyway - yes, it is very helpful to hear your opinion(s)! :) We try to take this feedback and test at least some of the community's suggestions!
Cheers!
I want to stress and reiterate something - the KMB inputs and how they allow movement independent of direction of attack (facing) is AWESOME and is a major selling point for this game IMHO. No one has made, effectively, a dual stick style action RPG quite like this before.
If this KMB functionality were to be removed in order have parity with the controller - I would be deeply, deeply saddened and the game would lose a lot of its appeal. In my opinion, you really need to revise the default controller scheme and make it work as a dual-stick style controller.
I just wanted to inform you that you actually can use dual-stick on a controller. You can use the right analog stick to attack while using the left one to move simultaneously. We have also added an aim assist to range characters to help smooth up the aiming. I am not sure which version of the game you have tested, but I am sure you can find these changes in the latest version if you update your game.
Thanks for your feedback.
Oh interesting ... I must have missed that. I'll test it out and let you know if I have other feedback on it. Thanks.
