Bejeweled 2 Not loading passed Title Screen, Unable to load Steam.dll

Hi everyone, currently having an issue where I can't seem to play this game anymore. Not exactly sure what has caused this, but running the game through Steam loads it but locks up on the title screen. If I try to run the executable in the SteamApps folder, I get the "Unable to Load Steam.dll" error (which I have verified that file is there). Any ideas how to fix this? It was running fine before on my old rig with Windows 7, still running Win7 on the new rig but could there be something conflicting like running it on a 64bit Operating System? I'm having the same problem on Win 10. What's your screen settings? Mine is 3840x2160.

I am running a 1680x1050. It is strange because I didn't have a problem with it before. I am wondering it if has something to do with the 64bit OP System, since I was running a 32bit system prior to my new tower.

I am having this problem too and I'm on Windows 7. I can't load Bejeweled 1 or 2 past the title screen.

Same problem here too. Win 7. Steam update was unusaually long at start. After that, none of the three games I've been playing lately would load, inculding Bejeweled 2. Tried deleting local content and reload, but it didn't help.

I am having this problem as well, and when I click on Support, it says there's an error and to try again later. This is the only game I play and I'm really frustrated. Is there any way to actually contact someone in Support to help play this game I purchased from them?

Report the problem to Valve via their Facebook or Twitter, they'll know what to do.

this is a steam issue i cant play any of my pop games it was one of there last updates you need to contact steam on this issuse i still cant play mine.

Also having this problem, as are a couple of other people I know who play it. I had a copy of an older installation of steam on my system, and thay played it fine..... till steam auto updated to the new version.

I'm having the same exact issue. I purchased BeJeweled 2 out of nostalgia on Monday and it ran fine immediately after installing the game. Now, all of a sudden, it won't load pass the title screen either. None of the buttons come up to click on so you can begin, but yet the sound still works flawlessly. I know that the game was only $5....but still, it's a shame to be cockblocked by something you really want to play again and yet you can't.

I have the game from a blog with the free full version no viruses (just a bit of adware, but bleeping computer helped me with this one) and it works fine, (If you are wondering what its called, its WinBej2 with the diamond from the first game with the 2)
