Error Launching Bejeweled 2
Hi all,

I just bought a copy of Bejeweled 2. Unfortunately when I run it from Steam I get this error:

StackWalk failed (error 299)

If I try to run it from the install folder it says "Unable to load Steam.dll".

Are there any solutions for this issue? Hope you can help!

Having the same issue, without any sort of StackWalk notification, only "Error: Unable to load Steam.dll." I'm running a 64 bit Windows 10 computer, and a freshly-bought and installed copy of Bejeweled. I've not got anything weird set up with the computer, as far as I can tell, so I don't really know where to start looking.
I had a similar problem with Skyrim SE and its Steam_API.dll file recently, but don't know if it's related or why the problem would persist, since I reset my computer.
Hope somebody can help, and that I provided enough information for someone to resolve the problem-- I can try and dig up more if anyone needs it.

Verify your game cache and try again.

If you have Nvidia, go into the NVidia Control Panel > Manage 3D settings > Program Settings.

Look for popcapgame1.exe
It may be listed as "Wild Tangent Game: Zuma Delux (popcapgame1.exe)"

Set "Monitor Technology" to "Fixed Refresh"

If you're having a "steam.dll" error message, try this:

First, find the Steam folder. With normal installation it'll either be in the "C" drive or in one of those "Program" folders. Open it, scroll down, find the "Steam.dll" file, right-click and copy it.

Now open the "Steamapps" folder. Inside of that find the "Common" folder. Inside there you'll find the "Bejeweled 2" folder. Open it, make sure the game's EXE file is there- if it is you're in the right place- then PASTE the "Steam.dll" file there.

Try the game again.

It is working, thank you!

I've just this minute reinstalled it afresh and it works straight away for me.

Perhaps you could read my reply above and tell us all if it worked for you too, or not huh? Sorry I tried to help here...
