You will gain access to a basalm (like equipment glyphs for your minions) that you can use when crafting minions that will remove this weakness. There are also glyphs that can give a similar effect, but they are rare.
The best way to avoid the instadeath from the sun is to keep an eye on the current time of day and make sure all your minions are inside/underground before daytime, then locking the door. Also, all the skeleton minions don't have the weakness to sunlight, they can't be used for labour but you can send them out during the day for attacks/guard duty. Vampire lords also come out-of-the-box with the trait that protects them from sunlight.
No worries, the Necro Keeper is probably the most confusing of the Keepers to start with as their mechanics are almost entirely unique.
