Why can't Fire Immune Automaton not auto equip Infernite weapons?

I got a bunch of Iron, Adamantinum and Infernite automaton, and restrict their gear to infernite but they still won't auto equip infernite weapon, despite all being immune to fire.

IIRC, fire immune creature supposed to be able to equip fire weapon, right?
